The Grand Hotel Adriatic is located just above the famous seaside promenade of Lungomare, in Opatija, Croatia.
This 138 key hotel is set over eight floors and is renowned for its Spa & Wellness facilities, which are further complemented by its gastronomic delights. Recently refurbished, the hotel also boasts the oldest congress centre in Croatia with eight function halls that seat well over a thousand guests.
The Grand collection, produced by Lika Svjetlo consists of two oversized bedside wall sconces and desk lamp each, designed with a long-tapered neck to give the lights a much slimmer profile, and in doing so makes them appear less powering in the room.
A design feature of these bedside wall lamps is the return arm on the horizontal shade support. This allows the lamp to be better positioned on the large, floor to ceiling headboard.
The wireframe fabric lampshades are a combination of black chintz paired with a glossy, gold foil inner lining.
The wireframe and lamp bodies are finished in pearl grey powder coating to help complement the colour scheme used throughout. When illuminated, the glow created from the inner gold foil lining of the shade tricks the eye into thinking that the finish is actually gold blending into a pearl grey.
Lika Svjetlo (lee-kah Light) is a young, dynamic manufacturer of decorative lighting based in Gospić, Croatia. Here they have full control over all aspects of the manufacturing and finishing process and produce a diverse collection of decorative and feature, architectural lighting.
