Launched at this year’s Sleep Event were many decorative lighting products and innovations.
Baulmann showcased a fully integrated miniature USB charging port for table lamps. The function of the port (which is housed inside a solid lamp base) is to provide guests with the ability to fast charge phones and tablets via the same port. In many cases the electronics and ports used in such devices come from the PC sector and only provide slow charging to tablets. Baulmann’s system is designed and manufactured to contract quality in Germany and is specifically developed to meet the needs of the hospitality sector.
The USB charging port can also be added to their vast collection of LED reading and bedside wall lights. What better way to include new technology than to hide it within a decorative light.
The benefits of this system are that you can place a charging port in key spaces within a room at minimal cost and without any additional decoration of electrician’s costs. Typically these would be areas where there is already a light, at the bedside, on a desk or table or desk
Also new this year is the addition of a range of touch sensor and hidden switch systems that can be integrated into their fully customisable LED reading lights, wall sconces and table lamp collections.
